wow. i think i even surprised myself! i've never successfully finished a 2-horse manip until this one. and i think i'm going to do a lot more after this. i loved making it.. everything went so smoothly, and i didn't really get stuck fussing with anything for once.
this work means a lot to me, because i spent an insane 5 hours on it. yikes. so comment away, i would love feedback. lots of it! lol.
i hope it will evoke the emotion and thrill of the scene that i intended. an epic battle between two magnificent stallions.. there could be a great story behind this you know
this artwork is the sole property of me, crimsy. you can NOT use it for any reason. the ONLY place this will be used is on The Lost Islands [link] this art should NOT come up on any other site, please let me know about any theft. thank you.
hmm well i didnt really get comments until i got more famous, and to get more famous i had to get better at manips first. or if you get your online buddies to comment regularly and make you feel special [that always helps lol]. so to get more comments/views you need to improve your skill. i honestly have done over a hundred manips by now. it took all that practice to learn to improve. the more time, detail, and perfection you put into a manip the more appreciated it will be. even when i do a rush job, there will be critics who love to point out every last misplaced pixel. so if u can make a piece that takes a couple sittings with photoshop (like mine do), people will notice. but to get really amazing any artist needs to to practice their skill, technique, and neatness until they reach that level of perfection and detail. in your case, i would suggest not using to much contrast or sharp blackness. try to find a nice medium in between. also having a wacom tablet to draw hair with is a huge plus, the prettier the hair the better your manip will be :]
only the really expensive ones show the screen on the tablet as far as I'm aware, just soldier on with your tablet you have, it took me a couple of weeks to develop the coordination but it's worth it in the end - now I cant use a normal mouse for anything!
