Meet Swarovski, one of the 2 males I just got to start my Ragdoll breeding program. He is a 7 month old blue bicolor, which means his color is lighter and more grayish than the seal version because of the dilution gene. I think I got really lucky in finding him, from my knowledge of the breed I think he conforms very well to the standard and may have a successful show career (or so we hope!). If he at least reaches the champion title, I will be very happy with that. We're planning to take him to his first show in July, wish him luck!
I also own a ragdoll. He's a seal colorpoint like his mother. His father is gray.We bought him from a breeder in our area. His name is Skylar. He's cream with chocolate legs and paws, chocolate tail, chocolate ears and a smutty face with deep blue eyes.
lol that is so funny, he looks almost like a lamb. love the lion tail. yeah he probably feels better without all that fur when it gets too hot. aww that would be so cute! love his facial structure. let me know when you do :] i can never get sick of looking at more ragdolls
oh that's awesome, i need to get myself in gear and fill out those pages. its just a lot of work lol. but they will be up over the next few months. and next winter we'll have kittens to show off on there hopefully :]
Awwww What a beautiful kitty! I love long hairs, they're so wonderful to snuggle! My Lucky has some ragdoll in him I think. My Dad found him on the side of the interstate as a kitten. Someone had dropped him off right on the highway and back then he was a half starved baby with the majority of his weight coming from ticks and fleas. Now he's about 23 lbs, mostly muscle with a little pudge and absolutely massive as far as cats go. He's my baby Ragdolls are a wonderful breed and definitely one of my favorites besides the Turkish Angoras!
thanks so much! aww its so sad people ditch kittens like that, i mean they're more than likely to get run over and that's probably what those people wanted :[ but im glad to hear you found him. wow with that weight he's got to have some ragdoll in him lol. i had a very similar story with my second baby, Jackie. got her a rip-off money greedy shelter that lied about her health. she had everything too, all the fleas and sickness you could imagine. couldn't digest food properly for weeks, poor thing. but now she's also a big lazy, shiny, healthy girl ^^ happy endings are great. ooh yes the angoras also have a unique and elegant look. and you have to love those odd eyes
ooo those shelters burn me up! There is one here that I love though, a woman runs it basically on her own and rescues kitties from shelters like that once they are put on notice for euthanization. Happy endings are the best and it seems like they turn out to be great and loving pets!
yeah there are bad and good ones, just like people lol. well thats awesome, sounds like she's doing a great thing. its sad that we can save them all, but rather teach people about spay/neuter before unwanted kitten come up. i think thats the most effective solution. but meanwhile, a big thanks to people like her for giving those kitties a second chance.
